Today I realised that I’ve been building online spaces for most of my life.
When I talk about my career, I usually start with adult milestones.
But honestly? The foundations were laid much earlier.
As a teenager, I was on LiveJournal learning how to capture images from movies, designing avatars, posting them in communities, watching what resonated, getting invited into challenges, growing a following.
I didn’t call it marketing.
Or audience building.
Or digital strategy.
I was just learning how online spaces work.
And looking back now, that’s exactly why working online feels so natural to me. It never really started with a job.
It started with curiosity, creativity, and community.
